And the walls, come tumbling down...

We've supposedly got a housing crisis here in the North Country, and in the midst of that, what I continue to find phenomenal is the number of places that are simply abandoned to collapse into ruin. The amount of beautiful old architecture along many of the roads around here that is rotting away and falling over is saddening.

What I don't understand is why people won't sell these properties if they can't be bothered with them. I suppose it is just symptomatic of the wastefulness with which many people were raised.
